John is a New Jersey native and Rutgers University alumni who has spent three decades in the IT industry. His path to software development evolved to include everything from coding, configuring computers, and system administration for enterprise organizations.
Tanner was as a contract linguist for the government, working as a computational linguist and helped create phonetic and speech recognition software for speech pathology and language education. He continues to work with a side company where he is continually working on speech pathology apps.
Laura is originally from the Chicago area, but has lived in Nashville for the past three years. After graduating with a Masters of Education in College Student Affairs and Leadership from Grand Valley State University, she moved to Tennessee to pursue her passion of working in higher education.
Bethany spent her childhood in Houston before hittin’ the road for Nashville to study Entrepreneurship at Belmont University. Before coming to The Iron Yard, Bethany spent 7 years in the nonprofit world running financial literacy and work-force readiness programs.
Emily has been passionate about technology and education her entire life and is thrilled to help people pursue both at The Iron Yard. She is a graduate of The Iron Yard's Front End Engineering program and is always excited to talk to folks about the experience of attending an immersive coding bootcamp.
