Over the last 4 years, the Iron Yard has led the code school industry in preparing students for careers as software developers. The industry as a whole is still young and its leaders face the challenge of a nascent market, as well as the demands facing all institutions in the higher education marketplace.
In considering the current environment, the board of The Iron Yard has made the difficult decision to cease operations at all campuses after teaching out remaining summer cohorts. We will finish out summer classes completely, including career support.
While our journey is coming to an end, we will always take pride in the thousands of people our staff helped to launch new careers.
Our Atlanta coding classes have been created with input from Advisory Board members like Home Depot, The Weather Company and Soltech. As the city's talented entrepreneurs, designers, developers and investors launch new products and companies every day, we preparing a new generation of skilled, professional developers with coding courses in the heart of the city.
Web Development Basics and Interactive Web Development are currently only available in SC, NC, TN and NV. Check with your local campus for more details on coming availability in your state.

Lindsey is a Mercer University Stetson School of Business grad. She landed in Denver in 2012 where she recruited for DaVita Healthcare Partners Inc., a Fortune 300 healthcare company. Being closely tied to her family, Atlanta ultimately called her home.
TJ Usiyan is a writer, musician, and developer interested in crafting interesting and artful things. One item of prominence is his extensive portfolio is that he developed the mobile app for Universal Studios.
